The Amedic Needle Guide System is based on a non-sterile, reusable adaptor and a sterile, disposable needle guide.
This way the risk of cross contamination is reduced, and there is no down-time for re-sterilization or other procedures.
The Amedic Needle Guide System was the first commercially available needle guide system ever, a product line that has created a widely spread de facto standard.
Amedic Needle guide systems are made for both abdominal and intracavity procedures.
Amedic Abdominal Needle Guide System
The Amedic needle guide system includes all the necessary components for the ultrasound guided abdominal procedures such as fine needle or core-biopsy, amniocentesis and catheterization.
The Amedic Needle Guide System is available for many different transducers. All Amedic Needle Guide Kits are sterile and disposable.

Each procedure kit contains 1 needle guide clip, 1 barrel tree with guide pins, 1 sterile latex transducer cover, 1 Safe Scan sterile gel.
Starter Kits
Each starter kit contains 1 adaptor (free of charge) and 2 reorder kits (equal to 40 procedure kits)
Re-order Kits
Each re-order kit contains 20 procedure kits.
Amedic Support Kit for Quick Clip™ from Acuson
The Amedic provides disposable procedure kits for the Quik Clip™ series of needle guide systems from Acuson. The sterile transducer cover (latex free) is put on the transducer first, then the Quik Clip™ adapter is attached over the transducer cover. An appropriate guide pin is chosen from the barrel tree that supports six different needle sizes, which is also included in the procedure package. Please note: the Quik Clip™ adapters are reusable and made of the finest surgical steel. The Quik Clip™ adapters can be ordered directly from your Siemens dealer.
