PreSet™ Core Biopsy Needle
The pre-set hub design of this unique core biopsy needle allows for the precise placement of the needle – without the need and added cost of a larger diameter coaxial needle. This light-weight needle can be positioned accurately prior to the attachment of the gun. The inner stylet and outer cannula hubs lock together and maintain the correct spacing so the gun may be easily attached after the needle is in place. With the PreSet Core Biopsy Needle there is no cumbersome, separate spacer to deal with. The PreSet Needle is simply re-set in the locked position for the next biopsy pass. The PreSet Core Biopsy Needle fits most automatic biopsy guns.
Compact and Lightweight
The PreSet easily fits under the gantry. Its light-weight design allows the needle to remain at the angle you desire during placement, and not deflect off to one side.
Less Expensive and Less Traumatic
Since the PreSet Needle may be placed without a coaxial needle, it is less expensive and traumatic than replacement needles used with a coaxial needle. It is also much less expensive than single action biopsy devices and fully disposable automatic biopsy guns.
Ease of Use
The PreSet Needle hub design allows for the precise placement of the needle and the easy attachment of an automatic biopsy gun after the needle has been positioned at the target. With the PreSet hubs, the needle loads very easily into the gun without having to manually position the hubs or deal with cumbersome detachable spacers.
